Tata Social Internship 2018 wraps up with Symposiums with TISS and SPJIMR

On 24 August 2018 the Tata Social Internship ‘Building Bridges Across Boundaries’ symposium was held with students from LSE (UK), Cambridge (UK), King’s College London (UK) and S P Jain Institute of Management & Research (Mumbai). This followed upon a symposium between interns from University of California Berkeley and students from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences on 3 August 2018. The Tata Social Internship interns had worked for two months on the CSR projects of Tata companies and entities while the SPJIMR students were from the college’s centre for Development of Corporate Citizenship and the TISS students from the School of Health Systems Studies. Presentations were made on topics like healthcare, education, livelihoods, heritage crafts, archiving and sustainability based on their project experiences. The interaction enabled valuable discussion on these topics, as well as, a cross-cultural exchange. With this 11th edition of the Tata Social Internship, the programme now has 175 alumni.
