Tata Social Internship interns wrap up with a Seminar with SP Jain students

On 27 August, 2014 the Tata Social Internship ‘Building Bridges Across Boundaries’ seminar was held with students from LSE (UK), Cambridge (UK), UC Santa Cruz (US), and S P Jain Institute of Management & Research (Mumbai). The Tata Social Internship interns had worked for two months on the CSR projects of Tata companies while the SPJIMR students were from the college’s Development of Corporate Citizenship. Presentations were made on four topics: health, education, livelihoods and measuring CSR based on their project experiences. The interaction enabled valuable discussion on these topics, as well as, a cross-cultural exchange. Dr Sesha Iyer, the director, SPJIMR as well as faculty members, Prof Ruth Kattumuri, co-director India Observatory & Asia research Centre London School of Economics, Sharon Memis, director of British Council (West India) and Tata representatives were also present. With this 7th edition of Tata Social Internship the programme now has 109 alumni.
